To all the parents of their dearest midshipmen I am posting to inform you that due to the string of inclement weather many of the buildings on the yard have a spider infestation. They are commonly seen in the windows of Nimitz and on the fourth deck of Bancroft. These arachnids are not deadly but are mildly venomous and can prevoke a more serious response with those prone to seasonal allergies. Please contact your Mids to ensure they know.

I have yet to come across one. However word around the Yard is there's an epidemic of Hand, foot, and mouth disease going around. What a time to be alive.

Op, did you get your nose fixed?

@AROTC-dad : I, too, have never heard of such a species. One can, of course, run into a howling spider monkey if you find yourself in the tropical jungles of Central and South America. ;)

This isn’t one of those upperclassmen pranks, is it? It is, after all, “Temple Week.” We all know how fired up and crazy Mids get about playing the mighty Owls!

Imagine Notre Dame week - what will happen to the leprechaun? Probably howling with anticipation.

Nothing re: howling spider from my search either

I did, however, find evidence of a "howling spider monkey".

How do you only have 316 posts Teufel Doc?

I read somewhere that the perfect antidote to howling spiders is mold. So with all the mold festering in the airways of Mother B, methinks the howling spiders will soon be history.
