HPCON B and masks required again indoors.

For sure. Just sharing the news. From what I can see on the USNA Covid page, they're still allowing visitors. But I'm not an expert.

There it is:

I know USNA will do everything possible to support PPW in 2 weeks and the Sponsor Social next Sunday afternoon, where we hope to meet our new plebes (yes, it’s like crack, we’re back on with taking our random new group) - BUT - I have no doubt the Supe and Dant have a range of contingency plans from “everything as planned” to the “scorched earth” end of the spectrum. The Supe has just a few missions, and everything else is expendable:
Bring in new class.
Train and educate all classes.
Deliver quality new officers to the Fleet and Corps.
Keep Brigade, staff, faculty, families healthy.

I have NOT heard any rumors. It’s the military, though, they will have plans, and they will lean conservative, because in a danged if you do, danged if you don’t situation, they would rather take heat for canceling things than for going ahead, and it turns out to be a seriously wrong decision, with secondary and tertiary consequences.

Does anyone know if they are required to wear the masks indoors to exercise, indoor sports practice, the gym? During the summer, those masked did not have to wear them while actively exercising. How about in their dorm room or while in bed?

How does my DS get the omnipotent @Capt MJ as a sponsor????
Random selection. 😁 That’s part of the fun.
We have done many siblings who come along in later years, because they are already part of the family.

Me still patiently waiting for our 3/C to be randomly assigned to @Capt MJ with boxers, dog naps, no less than six ice cream flavors, endless career advice and experience and real world straight talk. With some amazing cooking as an added bonus.
All kidding aside, our son has an amazing family as his sponsors. They reached across branches to sponsor MIDN even though one parent is active high ranking Army officer.
Great mentor for our son for sure. Lots of GO Army beat (I won’t say it ) jokes. But they have opened their lives and home to our son and I am eternally grateful.

Funny you mentioned ice cream. I was at the Ft. Meade Commissary today and already starting to think about re-stock of the Mid Snack Cabinet, Ice Cream Locker, buying gallon OJ containers again, stocking the garage refrigerator with La Croix water and other fun stuff.

I am glad your household feels like the time is right to sponsor again. A very generous act indeed and the MIDN who draw your household in the lottery are lucky indeed.
