I am a high school freshmen who has had my eye on Service Academies for a while. I wanted to attend USNA since probably fifth grade up until midway through eighth grade, however I now have my sights set on attending West Point. I have a General Class ham radio license and would like to get Extra Class by senior year, although I unfortunately haven't been active recently. I have a 4.0 unweighted GPA with all Honors classes for my first semester with a week and a day left, so unless something unexpected happens I should be good. I am in wrestling and football, but didn't make varsity for either. I am also in Youth in Government and Boy Scouts, and am on track to get Eagle Scout. I just wanted to introduce myself.

Welcome! Keeping pushing and making sure you’re taking hard classes, not just classes you will get As in. Academies perfer a B in a forge in language to an A in a shop or gym class. Oh and keep a high class rank.
But I’m glad you have sights set on an academy. I have two sisters there and have just been accepting. You will make connects that will carry with you forever in life

Good luck to you! You are still very early in the process. Obviously there are a lot of things for you to focus on still as a freshman. Earning your Eagle Scout is something West Point will definitely look highly upon. Continue to focus on your athletics/physical. Work on expanding leadership opportunities. Focus on grades and the SAT/ACT is a given.
