Tonight may be the most proud night and most fun as a mom I have ever had! Hubby had to pull me out from my Mom hug-fest victory lap! I'm sorry and I know this is not PC and is very selfish but wow o wow I hope somebody got it on video tape. Ms. Vermillon a past parents association president for our tri-state area come and gave DS his appointment. She did a terrific job and even gave DS a challenge coin from her DD's year, 2008. And she drove a considerable distance to do it. Then there was a screw up and she wasn't listed on the printed program. Then they overlooked her ( maybe literally, lol) in the line up. But they worked it in an of course it was in the middle of a lull period in the awards and wow! Yes, there was a gasp when she said the approximate value of the scholarship appointment! I wanted to jump up and shout YES! Fist pump and high five everyone. But no, I sat there with a tissue scrunched in my hand holding my mothers hand on the other side. There was a very loud and sustained applause! Ah, it is finally here. I have been reading about other experiences with this for over a year now and it was wonderful! Oh yeah, DS had a pretty good night too!
