I’m really confused-Dodmerb

So can someone help me understand this about Dodmerb? Does it have to be complete for USAFA by the date the application is due (Nov 1?) for DS2? I am seeing different things in different places. Thanks in advance.
 
The medical process for DoDMERB has to be started before the application due date but does not have to be completed by the due date. Many candidates have trouble getting medically qualified and so they do their best to finalize the waiver process before admissions decisions are made.

Last year I had the same due date for the application as your DS has and I wasn't medically qualified until December.

Oh, thank you. It’s been a long time since my other son did Dodmerb and that was for Navy, so I know there are differences in rules. Thanks again.
