I have an interesting background and have seen several parents and candidates with questions about differentiating academies! I am the youngest of 6; my parents were not in the military. My oldest brother is USNA ‘03, sister is UF NROTC ‘04, second oldest brother USCGA ‘07, third oldest brother is USAFA ‘14 (via foundation), and I am now headed to NAPS ‘19. Yes, we are spaced apart and yes I also have an outlier brother who thrived at a civilian college and is equally as happy and successful, graduating this year from VA Tech. I have essentially seen the best of all worlds, so I’d be happy to answer any questions! Growing up watching my siblings apply, graduate, and commission has exposed me to all kinds of things. (And before anyone asks... yes I could have completed the trifecta at USMA but my heart has always been with the Navy!) Happy to help—
