I tried to start my candidate questionnaire and was unsuccessful. I entered in all the information correctly and got a prompt saying that the SSN or DOB entered was incorrect. I later emailed my zone's regional commander and was told that I was too young to start my questionnaire. I am 16 turning 17 in September and I graduate in 2020. I just finished my Junior year. I was told that I couldn't start the questionnaire till I turned 17. I wanted to know if that was a problem other people have also had because I was able to start my application for the Naval Academy recently. Also is there anything I can do in the meanwhile or do I just start doing everything in September. Thank you.

Stange, I was 16 when I opened my questionnaire this JAN. I think there must be a mistake with the computer system since your age shouldn't be an issue. But if you're regional commander is telling you that to you, I really don't know. If I were you I would wait a bit and try entering my info again, or try contacting another person with admissions or FF.

My daughter is still 16 (turns 17 the end of August), and her application is "open" or whatever the official status is. Maybe they have a Aug 31 cut-off? I would contact the "technical person" if you can, or maybe your State Coordinator / Field Rep?
