Does anyone know the dates for parents weekend ?
In “normal” times, PPW starts six weeks after I-Day. So if I-Day is on Thursday (as it was pre-covid), count 42 days and that’s when families start swarming the Yard. The official start is the next day, Friday. But these aren’t normal times, so don’t be surprised by changes.Does anyone know the dates for parents weekend ?

This is great information! Do you happen to know what the distance from the yard is? I am hoping to book soon!Recommendation is to book hotels early as long you have the ability to cancel. Once an "official" date is known, hotels will book quickly. Note that there are several restrictions that are in place here is a short list: distance from the yard, no civilian clothes (must be in Summer whites when in public, PT gear if exercising and USNA swim gear if swimming), Town liberty with strict curfew (no overnight leave). My DS was content to chill in the hotel as he was deathly afraid of getting anything on his uniform. Naps, AC, TV/Movies and food where most important.
Also note that PS does not end with PPW. They still have a week of training prior to Brigade reform.
There are many threads on PPW, go on a hunt and see what you find.
Thank you for this! Is this for I-Day or parents' weekend, or both? Some thoughts:
-many Plebes just want to sleep and have a pizza or burger...
-bring their favorite civilian clothes to wear in the house/hotel (they are not permitted to wear civics out in public or even in an Appolis hotel lobby
-the heat & humidity can be brutal (as stated earlier)
-bring laundry pen to clean small drip on Summer Whites
-have fun-take lots of pictures!
I believe it is a 35 mile radius from the chapel dome...This is great information! Do you happen to know what the distance from the yard is? I am hoping to book soon!

Is your plebe able to stay with you during parents' weekend?parents weekend is amazing!!! last year it was August 13 - 15. We arrived on Thursday morning and stayed until sunday evening - it was so incredible being with our plebe. We attended plebe morning workouts at 5:30 am on friday - that is a must see! We stayed at a house in DTA and it was great being close for her getting back to the yard on time. We did take out and just relaxed. She slept and told us all the stories of plebe summer so far. We did have dinner at her sponsor families house on Saturday night which was fantastic. It was a weekend to remember for sure! assuming this year will be 6 weeks after plebe summer starts which would be August 12 - 14 this year. I would make reservations that can be changed or canceled.
During the day and evening, they have to be back to Mother B each night. Is your plebe able to stay with you during parents' weekend?

I'm wondering the same.....any word yet?Anyone have knowledge of when Class of 2026 I-Day info goes out? I found the '2021 I-Day parent & info booklet' and it looked like it was Tuesday 6/29 & Wed 6/30 last year? The USNA Academic Term 230 (Summer 2022 ) Calendar shows I-Day as Thursday June 30, 2022 this year. Wondering if it will be moved to a 2 day again, not sure when that was decided last yr. Not a big deal, but DS has a very small window after HS graduation and we were attempting to plan one last family gathering and also travel plans to USNA for I Day.
Hello, just checking in to see if anyone has heard an I-Day schedule for this June 2022 yet? I've heard dates of either 6/28 or 6/30, in two different spots. Thank you!
