i feel like we are the last one Still CPR

Absolutely! I am still waiting but planning to to hear until March (When the bulk of decisions are made) Good luck to your DS, fingers crossed for both of us!

Still waiting! Luckily have an acceptance and NROTC MO scholarship in hand to a very well ranked engineering school. It keeps me from going 110% crazy. Hovering at 98.7% crazy for now.

I think this form is great for information but a bad sample of appointments, because most people who I *personally* know (local schools, friends from NASS/CVW/friends of friends in Sea Cadets) who get in found out in mid February/March... but you never know I guess.

During my CVW my Plebe told me she knew a guy who found out like a week before I-Day!!!

There will be candidates waiting until April 15th. There are a few cases every so often - who receive Offers after that - including days before I-Day.

I've said this before, and I truly believe it... Technology is a double-edged sword. Just because Candidate A received an appointment on X date has no bearing on how Candidate B will do. But because candidates have access to online portals and forums, it is too easy to get caught into making comparisons. Not too many years ago candidates didn't have such instant access. Every candidate is a valid candidate until they hear otherwise.

Still waiting patiently. No word from USNA or NROTC. Keep the faith! It's not over until it's over, and even after that you can still try again. Best of luck to your DS!

Hang in there! DD is unbearable, but keep in mind very few appointments from the whole class have been tendered. This forum is helpful, but it only makes you more anxious at times. (More Bailies in my coffee). She applied to all 4 and blessed with accompanying nominations, and while she has one appointment, it is not USNA, so the world is about to end!

My heart just aches for everyone waiting. But believe me when I tell you we have all been there. I know it’s so hard but try not to wait away your last few months with your kid. Enjoy every day, make special memories, wash their clothes and surprise them with a special dinner just because :). Don’t sweat the small stuff (you’ll miss those sweaty socks) Because in a few months you will be adjusting to a crazy “new normal”. Whether your heart is in Annapolis or God had another plan as a stopping point on their way to becoming military property there is just a breath of time before they’re gone.

Celebrate their successes, fall in love with plan B (it will make it all the sweeter when plan A happens), and kiss them goodnight every single night.

Beat Army!

With the application in and just waiting on the admissions board, it's time to focus on your plan B, C, D, etc. schools/options. Make sure you get through the NROTC application process. Complete all other school applications. Apply for financial aid. Get it all done so that when late April and May roll around you'll be ready to go in several directions. Remember - many thousands apply, but only about 1100 get in. Just because one doesn't make it into USNA doesn't mean that candidate is a failure. Quite the contrary. The journey has just begun and the candidate - even a rejected one - will end up where he/she belongs.

My DD’s NASS platoon leader — a youngster — received her offer one week before I-Day. So yes, patience is truly a virtue.

...still waiting...I am soon to need CPR because of this CPR.
No news is good news. My DS waited into early April last year for USNA TWE and end April for NROTC scholarship decisions. We were the family touring schools April break and sending May 1 college deposits. Relieved that this nearly 2 year process is over and excited for what lies ahead.

DS said that last year’s disappointment was actually the best thing that ever happened to him. He has a year of college experience, NROTC and academic challenges under his belt. He reevaluated his goals and dedicated himself to them. I can’t say it was easy to watch as a parent or wait for the results but it was definitely worth it.

Trust the process knowing your DS put forth the best package he could. Best of luck!

No news is good news.

I'm really wondering if no news is good news? At this point will they give bad news or if you made it this far do they just string it along until April 15th and then send out the mass TWEs to all those not appointed? If that's the case then..... the only news between now and April 15th is GOOD news and no news is not a good sign. Or an I wrong to assume that?

As my all-time favorite baseball coach, Coach Buttermaker would say, never assume! Until you hear that you are not in, there is a chance that you will get in.

I mean, people who didn’t complete the application are getting TWEs soon (if they haven’t already) and after that I’m sure other people will be getting them as well. So if you’re not hearing anything, it’s better than that.

Plus if you check the appointment thread from previous years or have talked to current mids, appointments can roll in up to April 15th!
