I got my waiver...now what?

I recieved a waiver from USMA for childhood asthma. What now, do I need to do anything else. i feel weird about just sitting here because all through this process I've always been working on something. I have my nomination and a letter that says I'm qualified both academically and physically I just need to wait on my medical.

first off, congrats on the waiver, its definitely a good sighn for you

and just a question as i'm in a sort of similar boat as you.. you were informed of your waiver through dodmerb today? around when were you first pending waiver submission/review? i've been in the pending mode since the beggining of november and i'm just wondering about when it could come up!

Mine was in Waiver Pending status since the begining of August, and it is still in thta status for USNA, USAFA, and Army ROTC. I'm not too worried about that though because USMA is my first choice anyways.

FightOnToVictorry - Congratulations on receiving a medical waiver! This is just one step in the process toward an appointment.
You should use this opportunity to give your Regional Commander a call. Waivers are sought at the discretion of Regional Commanders for competitive candidates. He can give you a good idea of where you stand in the process. In any case, you are now in a position for an offer to be made!

Harrison - waivers can happen at any time. Have you received paperwork from DoDMERB informing you that a waiver is being sought by USMA? As I recall, my daughter received her letter in early March the year she applied. She got her waiver a week later. It is all different for each candidate.
As I said above, waivers are initiated by the Regional Commander and each candidate is different.

my regional director sent me a letter dated that as of november 4th west point would process my file for waiver consideration and that USMA has a 90 day 'waiver timeline' process.
i'm hoping that means USMA will be making a decision very soon, i did happen to receive a waiver from ROTC, but I know this might not be the decision west point makes

since i have an loa and my file is complete except for the waiver, would receiving it likely result in an appointment as well?
