I have a speech impediment that sounds like a British accent, everything I say is perfectly understandable and clear. Because it is not what the normal American accent is for my region, and I’m not actually British, would this be identified as a speech impediment and disqualify me? Thanks

It isn't an impediment if you are clearly understandable.

DoDMERB uses a simple reading test out loud. If the the doc can understand you, you should be okay.

If you’re considering USNA, as long as you can sing — scream, actually — the Marine Corps Hymn at the top of your lungs during plebe summer, you’ll be just fine. And tell everyone you’re originally from Cornwall by way of Northampton. Best wishes to you.

If you’re not diagnosed with some kind of speech disorder, you should be fine. I’d think just an articulation error shouldn’t be an issue?
