My DS is still waiting for a Dodmerb waiver, will he still hear something directly from the USNA if he is accepted/ not accepted or does the Dodmerb disqualification act as his official notification on his status?

Thanks!

You will receive a final answer on the portal, either an offer of appointment to USNA, appointment to NAPS, Waitlist, or Turned Down. An offer could only happen after you get a waiver.

If you are selected for an appointment, but they don't yet have a waiver for you, you might receive a Conditional Offer pending medical qual

Agree. It shouldn't delay a decision; it could delay an appointment.

How will I know that I passed my medical exam? I attended the physical a few months ago, and nothing has changed. My DoDMETS account shows that I completed the survey, do I need to contact the doctor who gave me the physical? Should I be worried that it's still not on my application?

I would contact DODMERB directly. There is a liaison that is assigned to you based on your last name. My daughter called and got her liaison's direct line. She contacted her to make sure her AMI's were received. She assured us they had been and would process in a week or 2. It was done in 5 days. Waiver granted. We had no background with DODMERB or the military so talking to a person was very helpful. Good Luck!

Where do you get notified if you're in the process for a waiver/get a waiver?

I was never notified of the waiver, I just checked my DoDMERB portal and saw it was there (for USMMA, USNA still shows pending submission/review)

USMA and USAFA play it differently than USMMA and USNA. They notify you that a waiver has been requested.

Unless you have an LOA or are asked for additional info from USMMA or USNA as part of the waiver review, you will never know if they are pursuing a waiver or not. Hence all these people on the boards in Pending Waiver Submission/Review status reporting sudden, magical appearances of ‘Not Medically Qualified’ or ‘Waiver approved’ on DODMRB. Which is then typically followed very shortly thereafter by a TWE or Offer of Appointment on their Candidate Portal.
