Ok, so the first review board didn't give me an offer and told me to wait till the next review board to receive an offer. I'm concerned this means I'm not going to get any offers at all which would really suck cause I've already been accepted to my dream school (Which is VMI). I wouldn't be able to go if I can't get a least a 3-year scholarship.

EDU: I have an ACT superscorce of 27, A GPA of 3.70 and I'm in NHS, I take my schools hardest courses but
I haven't taken the SAT
ATHLETICS: My physical scores of a 7.16 minute 1.5 mile, 47 push-ups, and 67 situps. I also lettered in varsity for three years in basketball, did Cross country for a year and was the captain of my Ultimate Frisbee team of 11th year (We also went to states that year and placed fifth in all of Ohio)
ACTIVITIES: I'm a Committee Chairperson for my school's key club for 3 years, student assembly member for 2 years and I've racked up 150+ community service hours at my school (but I'm not sure if it was ever recorded due it not being through an official school program)

I answered the survey as honestly as I could, I have a general impression my interview went extremely well, and the essay's well written

Is this going to be enough to get an offer????

There are still two more opportunities to earn a scholarship, and one is less than a month away.

I was told by the PMS that the average for winners in the first board was a 3.7+ GPA and a 1416+ SAT (31ish ACT). Also, only 400 scholarships were given out to 2300 applicants for the first board.

Lastly, you are aware that the PFT for AROTC is only one mile, right? If you did 1.5 miles for your PFT that is... unfortunate.

Have no fear. I was navy bound for years, but it didn’t work out. I enrolled in army rotc at a college I loved, and made the Ranger Challenge team, and color guard team. I worked hard to earn a scholarship, I was the first non contracted cadet in our class to be awarded a scholarship (3 year). I know parents get stressed, mine did, but as long as you work hard you will earn a scholarship, around 20% of cadets in my class still do not have a scholarship, but almost the entire sophomore class does. Everything will work out in the end, and just remember God has a plan.

I highly doubt the OP ran 7:16 for 1.5 miles. That is 4:51 pace. One mile is this distance required. As for curl-ups, I doubt he did 67 in 60 seconds - especially since 50 gets you max points. I think he just got confused.

I’m simply going off what the OP stated...

Yeah, you are right. I miss spoke

My DS received a 4 year AROTC. Depending on where you live check with your local STATE congressman and some states offer extra money. Where we live they offer an automatic $10,000/ year up to 4 years. That basically means $20k/ 4 years and all you have to do is maintain a 2.5 GPA. Of course he hopes to get in a SA still but it’s not a bad back up. Check with local state office and see if they have anything. DS is the only one applying for it.

You may have to go to Plan B (whatever that is for you) if you cannot safely afford a 'dream school' without the scholarship. Keep your chin up and welcome to #adulting! This does not mean things will not work out for you, you just have to keep an eye on your end result... many different paths can still lead to that.
