Immunizations during the pandemic

Thank you for the various useful information. One curious question when applicant receives NAPS offer while there was waiver request for Dairy allergy, can we understand that the waiver has been given because the NAPS offer?????? Thanks for some insight into this.

This particular reply got me thinking... DS had a doctor he had seen in childhood before an insurance switch a few years back. Smaller clinic versus the "big" provider we're with now. So... we called them and asked. They said they were typically only doing vaccinations for infants but asked about the situation. Explained it to them and they said if we had paperwork they would be able to do them.

So... DS logged onto his portal and printed off a few forms, prescriptions, and instructions, and got a bunch of needle pokes this afternoon.

Thanks to Alliern, Mr. Mullen, and y'all here, this turned out to be a success story, so thank you!!! One problem solved, and now he awaits word on one more...

To the others still struggling to find vaccinations -

I called 20 something CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aids, Patient Firsts, and other clinics/pharmacies, and only one place, a Patient First, had all the vaccinations that I needed. The polio vaccination is "outdated" according to a lot of those places. However, the Patient First I found wouldn't take my insurance.

If you can't afford the hundreds of dollars for vaccinations and are struggling to find a place with the vaccinations:
Go to your insurance website (or call them) and go to the "Find my doctor" part of the website. Put in all your information and go through each of the doctors on that list, call them to see if they have the vaccinations you need. I had to call at least 5 different offices till I found a place with my vaccinations. That how my friend and I, who were both struggling to find a place, got our vaccinations.

The BOTTOM LINE: If you can get them, get them. If you can't, you'll get them when you arrive at any Academy. Personally, not officially, I would get them if I could BEFORE REPORTING to an Academy.
