Important matters concerning the existence of Humanity - BACON

Sorry. I like drinking and I love bacon but I don’t like drinking bacon. Just like I like sardines, and I like chocolate syrup. But, I don’t like sardines with chocolate syrup on them.
 
I rarely stray into the bacon fora since I lack the technical swine knowledge to be a serious contributor.

But as I was perusing my morning online news I stumbled across this gem. Just too good not to share.

If you want to be a true bacon guru, you have to look.....and smell the part.

^ This .... anybody else think coffee shops, particularly in airports, should have a separate line for plain black coffee orders ? Nothing bothers me more when traveling than having to wait in line waiting for people to order and staff to make double soy lattes' with double pumps of caramel and creme on top. Imagine the throughput if there was a line for "black coffee- large" (and a side of bacon to stay on thread !)
This^^^ I ordered black coffee at a Starbucks in the Vegas airport. I always give a made-up name at coffee shops. It was packed, I waited forever hearing people's 'double-this, soy that, whipped, lite, extra ice, blah blah blah' and then when it was my turn, the lady called "Ginger, PLAIN BLACK COFFEE" in the most condescending voice. It was silent, it felt like every head turned.

If the coffee is good and fresh, you don't have to turn it into something else, people. Sheesh.
 
I owned a coffee roastery and a coffee shop for years. Whichever employee that was working the cash register would hand out a cup to any customer ordering drip coffee. The customer would go to the urns on display and fill with their choice. All the milk, sugar, syrups, etc was at the fixin's bar (Roy Rogers reference). Two or three employees would work the espresso machine and blenders. It sped things up. Although, there was a woman who would come in occasionally during, always during the morning rush, and order 6 lattes at a time with all sorts of differnt flavors. She backed up the line every time!
 
Remove the coleslaw and I’m in! Nothing against coleslaw — I actually like it — but the temperature difference would throw me off. I’d substitute a bit more bacon and pulled pork. ☺️
