Looks excellent. Seconds on bacon, please?
It was French toast for us, using Trader Joe’s cinnamon roll bread, with generous bacon on the side, and a lovely dark amber maple syrup. Breakfast for dinner is so restorative.
I am headed to the Amish Market shortly for some Pa Dutch thick-cut for tonight’s Valentine dinner, then to Giolitti’s Italian deli for some fresh-made roasted mushroom ravioli. Yes, it’s for one of the house pasta dishes I learned from my landlord’s wife in Napoli. Mushroom ravioli, mixed wild mushroom sauce, cracked pepper, hot pepper flakes, roasted garlic, panna di cucinare, chopped bacon and pecorino on top; homemade roasted peppers. I made the flourless raspberry chocolate torte last night. DH is on a mission to Wine Cellars of Annapolis. Happy Valentine’s Day to all! May your day have a touch of bacon!
