That is a seriously great name…I've been cooking baking on my grill. The last few time times I've been marinating some thick sliced bacon in a Tennessee Whiskey marinate my wife bought. Put it in a pan dedicated for this and let it slow cook on the grill while I enjoy a glass of Bourbon. (I've even marinated it in bourbon a couple of times). Delicious,,,,
I make sandwiches for lunch using blackened chicken lunch meat, lettuce and this bacon on top.
I think I'm going to supplement my retirement by opening a bacon food truck,
I'll call it "Squeals on Wheels"

Allegro Tennessee Whiskey Marinade. Thick cut bacon. This may sound bad but the Great Value brand from Wal-mart is really good for this. Marinade for about 30 minutes (generous amount) in a glass bowl. You had me at bacon and whisky marinade.
So first, to determine your taste buds, what bourbon do you drink while grilling said bacon. Second share the whiskey marinade and grill techniques.
Third, I would back a bacon food truck!
A workhorse cast iron pan, see screenshot below from the usual national retail site. I have a much older version, and if it ever wore out, I would replace it with this. Mine has the same size short handle on each end, but I’d like to have the skillet handle. Worth the effort to keep it seasoned and always reliable. I’m enjoying this bacon marinade discussion. Nice leisure activity with many enjoyable side activitiesAllegro Tennessee Whiskey Marinade. Thick cut bacon. This may sound bad but the Great Value brand from Wal-mart is really good for this. Grill at about 300 to 350. I have an old square baking pan I stole from the kitchen that is now dedicated for this task, I'm looking for a good cast iron piece.
I place about 4 strips of bacon at a time in the pan and just place in the middle of the grill. flip the bacon about 3 or 4 times so it gets evenly cooked with maybe only a little crunch on the ends. It's almost caramelized around the edges.
As far as bourbon, I've been on a Wild Turkey 101 kick lately. Called the working mans bourbon but it is extremely smooth. (again, generous amount ) Another good one is Russell's Reserve 10yr. Jimmy Russell was the master distiller for Wild Turkey.
Take your time and enjoy. I sit on the back deck in a rocker and gaze off over the pasture or up at the stars and just let the worries of the day or week melt away as the bacon does it's thing. It usually takes me about 1 1/2 hours to do 1 pack of bacon and varied amounts of bourbon.
I definitely think there is. When the threads start to go nuclear I typically weigh in and state that I'm heading back over to the fun bacon or cocktail thread. Makes me less stressed so it might work for others! Is there a correlation between upticks in controversial threads and then upticks in the Bacon, Cocktail, Everything and other “sanctuary threads?”
