Important matters concerning the existence of Humanity - BACON

My son finished up TBS with a graduation ceremony at MCB Quantico on Friday, so we had breakfast for dinner at The Silver Diner in Woodbridge, Virginia (Potomac Mills). The bacon was great! He had the double bacon with his Lumberjack breakfast and I had four (4) lovely crispy strips with my omelette. Mrs. THParent is a vegetarian , so she had the "Apple Pie Pancakes" which I must say, looked pretty fabulous.
Right in my backyard, I probably listened to your son blow some stuff up as I can hear all the fun the TBS-ers have on a monthly basis :) . Woodbridge leaves something to be desired in good breakfast places but can’t go wrong with bacon.

We had breakfast at the VFW post on Minnieville Road once last week. Darned good breakfast, with bacon!

Bacon thread needs a bump...Saw a recipe for sweet potato and bacon kabobs. Alternate chunks of sweet potato and folded up 1/4 strip of bacon on metal skewers. Coat with a brown sugar mix (brown sugar, spices, red pepper flakes). Grill for 30 min until potato is soft. I plan to try it this weekend.

Felt like I was back at a Navy pier early this morning. I had driven DH up to Johns Hopkins in Columbia for an outpatient procedure. Figured I would forage for breakfast while waiting. There was a food truck with a line of hospital staff. Reading the intel, I joined the line and asked what was good. “Biscuits!” chorus. I had a hot homemade biscuit with bacon (generous and crisp), cheddar and fried egg. There was scrapple. Homemade sausage patties. Cheese grits. Sausage gravy available for the biscuits. Omelettes. Eggs any way. Housemade muesli. Waffle of the day: strawberry. Breakfast tacos. Breakfast burger with fried egg.
Best “roach coach” breakfast I have ever seen. Good prices too. My biscuit and a drink was under $5.

First off, I would just love to congratulate this thread for having 129 pages! That's insane!
Second, bacon grease when frying eggs. Its heaven.
I like your priorities as a new member.

Don’t ever forget the Dread Bacon Lord @THParent watches over this thread with a stern and occasionally merciful eye, alert for those who stray from all things bacon.

Following a surfeit of white chocolate as a child, I've been a lifelong abstainer. Recently, my brother brought back from Spain a bar of white chocolate. It was amazing.

Why come, you may say. It was filled with tiny bits of torrezno de soria - pork belly that's marinated, dried, cut into strips, then fried in olive oil.

What did everyone else have? That’s a lovely platter for one.
We all had our own REALLY good breakfast items, and shared the bacon. Believe it or not, there was leftover bacon!

The round dish, was a sweet and spicy bacon jam. So good!

There is no such thing as “leftover bacon.”
There is strategically reserved bacon, available for tactical deployment as desired.

I believe it will be tactically deployed tomorrow morning.

Smartly done.

Any reserved bacon jam you can spare? Always great on a burger or cold meat platter.
