Hello!
I'm applying for the class of 2024- I started my file the day it opened and am attending SLE- and I was wondering if I could potentially include outside of school race times somewhere in my file. I'll graduate with three years of track and two of cross country (one year, hopefully/probably, of xc varsity with a letter). I'm not enough of a sprinter to make track varsity, even next year, but I'm a good distance runner; I race competitive half marathons, and I'm planning to race a marathon this summer, with the potential goal of qualifying for Boston. My long race times aren't incredible, but they're strong and a much better indicator of my overall fitness/ dedication to running than any of my track times will be- so, should I include them in my file? And if so, how? Thanks in advance for any feedback/ advice.

Once your official USMA application opens, you'll enter much more detail about your background. There are fields for remarks in you activity record - I'm not sure I would include times (especially if the times are not stellar), but you might want to include a simple statement such as participated in "12 10k and 5 half-marathon races over the past two years".

You might consider contacting the marathon team coach. They have a pretty competitive team and a female cadet has a chance at trying out for the next olympics based on the results of a recent competition.
