India Whites

Plebes haven't been issued theirs but we will have to wear them for a formal event at CFT this Summer so sometime near the end of Plebe year I am guessing.
 
Why are there India Whites instead of just wearing the full dress with white pants like they do in the graduation pictures?

I don't know the history of India Whites but I think they are cooler than full dress with white pants. You won't wear them much since it is a summer uniform. I can only think of one occasion so far that my son has worn his and that was Camp Illumination at the end of Buckner.

The ceremony were you get your class ring is another one cadets wear it and also Beast I cadre wear them for the oath ceremony at Trophy Point.

Thanks AF. I guess he'll wear them one more time on Ring Weekend since he already did 2nd detail of Beast last summer. :smile:
 
Don't know if it will change, but the Firsties wore India Whites at the Friday night banquet before graduation in 2009.
 
Alas, when I was a cadet we didn't have India Whites. I agree they look sharp. Had to settle and get Army Whites to wear to my wedding.
