Initial PFT

Howdy y’all
I know that to activate the Marine option scholarship at the start of freshman year we must pass a PFT. Does it need to be a 1st class score?

Yes. That is sufficient to activate the scholarship. You better be prepared to get it into the high 200s somewhat quickly. At least some years Marine Options have not been allowed to attend OCS without having a score of at least 285. No OCS, no commission.

Para 3-20, 1.b

"b. Marine Option midshipmen and MECEPs must obtain a PFT score of 200 for their current age group for scholarship activation.
