Greetings,
My DS was granted a waiver for a single DQ. However, he was injured and recovered from another injury (small bone break/chip in arm) that is not related. I would assume this has to be reported but to whom? He's planning on NROTC.
Any suggestions on the proper action would be appreciated.

So technically.. needs to reported back to DoDMERB and the NROTC he is trying to join..........technically.

DD is USNA so not sure if same as NROTC but...she had her wisdom teeth out after completing medical. Her admissions counselor told her to sumbit the updated medical, including the release from the surgeon, to them directly. The said under no circumstances should she send anything to DoDMERB or it would open up her medical again and she would not be medically cleared.

I do think the break has to be reported but I would have your DS reach out to whoever he can to confirm who it needs submitted to before sending directly to DoDMERB. Good luck!

THanks for feedback. We did end up finding the answer in a letter DS received regarding his waiver. I'm writing it here in case anyone else has a similar question.

".. if there has been any change in your medical qualification since your original exam... notify the NROTC Scholarship placement office or the professor of Naval Science at the NROTC unit you will join..."
