My DD injured her wrist this week, we had it xray'd and was told there was no break which was a relief but the radiologist called today and wants her to go see an ortho because they couldn't rule out a fracture. We see the ortho on Monday. I am incredibly stressed out by this whiplash. I am a hypothetical person, I need to be ready for all scenarios ( or at least as prepared as I can be ). Her school starts mid August. Is something like this going to restart the whole waiver process AGAIN? If it ends up being something that needs a cast but is off before we get there is she fine? If she has to show up with a couple weeks left on a cast what happens then? I am praying for the absolute best in this situation but I just need to find some answers for the what ifs.

Actually, becasue she's not contracted yet, your DS...not her "incredibly stressed out Mom:)" ...should email me immediately:

Lawrence.e.mullen.civ@mail.mil; complete name and last 4; paste the posting above to the email...provided she even knows you posted it :wiggle:

I would advise to go to the DoDMERB Forum and have your daughter contact MR. Mullen and speak to him re: her wrist. I am not sure this qualifies as a "change in medical status" but better to know early on. If there is no break and no fracture and no restriction on activities my guess is Mr. Mullen will tell her she is fine. Worst case is she reports with scholarship, is on light duty for the beginning and as soon as medically cleared is good to go. Mr. Mullen is "The Man" regarding anything medical prior to reporting.
