Hello everyone!
I'm pretty new to this forum, but seeing how supportive everyone is of each other made me want to ask my own question and hopefully become more or less reassured. I've received an LOA that says I will be guaranteed an offer of appointment as long as I become medically qualified. However, I've already been disqualified because I tore my ACL last May in dance and received surgery mid-July. Since I did receive an LOA, is USNA likely to request a waiver for this situation? I'm not fully healed yet, but I should be by the time Plebe Summer rolls around. Please note, I also did go to NASS this past summer after I tore my ACL and did the physical training and my CFA there with a brace on. Thank you guys for your help!

If you have an LOA, a waiver is automatically requested. You don’t have to do anything. That’s what happened to me. I don’t know what will happen in your specific case, but I was disqualified for 3 things and waived for all of them! If you give enough information to the academy that you will be perfectly fine for plebe summer, you should be alright.
