Interesting statistics for nervous applicants

For anyone interested...DS was notified by the MoC office of his appointment on 3/5. He received the BFE yesterday, 3/14 (9 days). We're in Texas. It was in a regular large Manila office envelope with a return address from USNA. The offer of appointment is in a rigid presentation folder, so it won't fit in a regular roadside mailbox, or in a normal post office box at the post office. So if you get a notice to pick up something at the post office, it might be your BFE.

Congrats to you and your DS! I almost missed your good news because it's on the Navy page. Good thing I'm a multitasking, non-discriminating stalker! Will he accept or hold out for USAFA?

He will be going to USNA in June. We're pretty excited about it.

He will be sending in the USNA appointment acceptance paperwork tomorrow. His best friend is a recruited football athlete for USNA, so they'll see each other once in awhile. AND there's a chance that another friend (also from the same HS) will be going to USNA as well. Trouble looking for a place to happen! They're all three pretty outstanding young men and have been friends and academic and athletic competitors since middle school.

. . . your DS was destined to attend USNA. It's great for him to have a support network of his best buddies nearby, especially for the first year.
