I believe MG Wins is a good man and a good fit for the very tough job he has taken on as Interim Superintendent- and will bring both some stability in a time of turbulence and some improvements to VMI where needed . Hopefully this link of an excerpt of a talk he gave to the Corps the other day will play. (?It is a reminder of how old I’m getting- when he graduated I was on my second Company Command in Korea 😱). https://fb.watch/1ST1gaPW5e/

He's the right choice at this time. I heard him speak Saturday and I read his latest editorial. Like most things at VMI, I walked away impressed. I'm excited to see the general guide VMI through this transition.

For my son who has been accepted at VMI for Fall 2021, I love what I’ve seen, heard and read from Wins. I’m now waiting to see what my son hears on that ROTC scholarship since we’re out of state. But he’s ready to go!

He’s very well liked by the Corps so far from people I’ve talked with.

Good luck. I feel absolutely blessed that my 2nd (junior) is at VMI. I like the town so much I may retire there.
