Yet no email notification that application going for review. Perhaps that email will come soon? Interview was complete several weeks ago. Did anyone see change like this in Bear's Den followed by the email indicating "going for review"? If so, about how long from checked box to the email? TIA

They are obviously super busy at this time of year. If the application is in and complete, which it obviously is or they wouldn't have granted an interview, then rest assured that not only will your application be reviewed sometime in the next 2.5 weeks, but you are also guaranteed to have a decision within those 2.5 weeks.

Our DD never was requested to do an interview does that mean she is unlikely to get an appointment? The box application complete - ready for review has been checked for well over a month.

The applicant has to ask for an interview if the applicant feels it will add to their application. It's optional.

After viewing the forums from last year and this year, it seems to me that many are still selected that do not interview. It does not seem to be a necessarily powerful piece with the review board process. My DD actually was in early stages of the flu and nearly passed out at a swim meet the day before hers. Really not sure it was the best interview she was capable of. Whatever will be, will be. Her Plan B is to self sponsor at MMI. I admire her determination!

This is our second year, only applied to one SA last year, self prepped and applied to all SA this year. Waiting is hard.

A while back DS' portal said his application was going to be reviewed (I dunno, soon, or maybe within a certain time- can't remember.) We haven't heard anything- yay or nay- does that say anything to you all?

Talk about determination. I am going to believe your DD has elevated her chances tremendously. It sounds like we could very well be on the path right behind you if first round try to USCGA is a no go! Hey they have to know they have given it their best shot at this age. They are certainly on a unique journey apart from others and the trajectory is absolutely worth the effort. Shoot for the moon and give it all you got kids!

DS had an email a while back that they wanted him to interview (within a month). At the end of the time allotted before he was supposed to contact someone he had the interview. That was almost two weeks ago. Over a week ago he received an email thanking him for getting the interview completed. The box is still not checked. In the middle of all this, in early Oct, he received an email informing him his application was complete and would be reviewed in the next two weeks and to let them know if he didn't want to be considered for EA. According to the email his file has most likely been reviewed but he's heard nothing. He figures they are very busy and he'll find out soon enough.
