Hello! Just signed up but have been reading all your posts for quite some time. Thank you all for contributing such great info. It makes me feel connected, but nervous at the same time ... DS wants it so much in his heart, but reluctant to talk about it unless he gets an offer. So ..... we're in the waiting game! Is probably 3Q'ed (as far as I can tell) and has 1 nom for each AF, Navy and Army.

Anyway, I thought I should sign up, finally, and say hello.

"HelicopterMom" is just a wink at myself, no offense meant to anyone! : )

Good to see a mom that realizes there are over-involved parents out there. :)
Good luck with the appointment. Being in the hunt for all three gives him a good chance.
 
I'm new too. I have been reading quite a bit prior to signing up.
My DS sounds so much like yours. He's done EVERYTHING all on his own, and does not discuss it much with us, including when he applied to AIM and got in. He's moving on with other reserve/college plans just in case, which has shown me how much patience and understanding he has.
He goes in for his DODMERB physical today, just another step.
