Good Afternoon,

This account has been set up to answer questions from prospective students, to correct (well-intentioned) misinformation regarding program requirements on the forums, and as a recruitment tool for the NROTC program at The Ohio State University. This forum is a great resource for future students and we hope to contribute in a positive way. Direct links to social media accounts are not allowed on this forum so we will not post them here, but we do invite all interested students to "follow/like" OSU NROTC Facebook and Instagram social media pages in order to gain a basic understanding of what day to day life is like for our Midshipmen.

There are MANY benefits to being a Midshipmen at The Ohio State University. We encourage and welcome all interested high school students to email us at the organization email provided below to schedule a Virtual Program Brief / Info Session to learn more.

Go Bucks!

We used to have @NavyNOLA, who posted here through December 2017 and served as a primary source for NROTC questions. It’s great to know a primary source is here again and willing to answer. Feel the Siri!

Pro tip: Copy and paste replies you find yourself giving often, to a convenient location. The same questions occur every year, in cycles, and there is a tendency to ask first and not do the work in reading the NROTC site or searching here on SAF for similar questions. Mine are in my Notes app on my iPhone, since I most often use my saved mobile SAF link.
