iPod Playlists...

Not so quick to "Know" that USNA allows AIM. It is dependent on your Company, some do, some do only at certain times, and some do not. It is one of the reasons that my son was advised to not give out his AIM or post online anywhere during 4/C year as upperclassmen can and do "spy" to see if you are on AIM. Again very Company dependent.

Remember, not all 4/c rules are applied equally across the entire class. Frustrates the 4/C Mids, Frustrates the parents but it is what it is.

You can hide yourself from being visible by others while online with AIM

Yes you can hide from being seen, at least you think you are hiding  but trust me not from getting caught!

Don't know what they do at USMA but the Mids do get caught. Tours and Restrictions are really a waste of time, all in the name of wanting to chat with the high school friends.

Do what ever you want to do and think you can get away with, ...just know the penalty (yours and your company plebe mates) if you get caught...

Yes ma'am, sorry. will not happen again

"It'd aint been for cotten eyed joe, id been married a long time ago, where did you come from where did you go cotton eyed joe....."

Excuse me?

YOU busted a few 4/C.......... and you're a CANDIDATE?

Please tell me I'm missing something...

In other words... Loose lips sink ships Leysa.

LOL ~ Its an old saying from WWII. Sorry, I lost ya. I was joking that you got those guys busted by innocently telling an upperclassman you know that they were online.

Well they knew they were not suppost to be on and I told an upperclassman that they were on and yes they did get in trouble. I'm not going to CGA.

YOU DID WHAT?

Excuse me, but where do you get off suddenly acting as judge and jury over a bunch of people you don't even know and will most likely never meet, and who have done you no wrong? What gives you the moral authority to dispense conduct reports in places you don't attend and have no intention to attend?

Let me clue you in on a few things, my young candidate....

If there is ONE THING that is valued in the armed forces, it is LOYALTY. I'm not talking about the kind of loyalty that pressures you to remain silent while your platoon wipes out a village of disabled children, but rather the kind of loyalty where you cover for each other in all cases short of breaking an actual major law. UNIT loyalty. CLASSMATE loyalty.

What LAW was broken here? What HARM was being done by a few 4/C trying to blow off some steam on AIM? WELL.....?

What you did is inexcusable. Not only are you neither a cadet nor a midshipman (and thus completely without standing to have pulled the stunt), but you have no desire to attend the place where you bilged a bunch of people who were probably trying to help you out. If this is the way you think, then I suggest you log off, go look in the mirror, and seriously reconsider your applications. You pull a stunt like this against your classmates and you will find yourself going through Plebe Year alone, which is not possible to do.

I'm going to stop now before I REALLY get upset and tell you (in all the colorful terms utilized by Cadets and Midshipmen) what I think about what you did.

Word of advice: You had better change that attitude QUICK. It will NOT serve you well where you hope to go.

Wow.

:frown: Here I thought I was going to get more suggestions for my I Pod :frown:

Ooooo. Billy Joel. Yum. Here's the last six of mine that have played:

Firefall - Strange Way
Todd Rundgren - I Saw the Light
Bonnie Raitt - I Will Not Be Broken
America - Ventura Highway
Diana Krall - They Can't take that Away From Me
Marshall Tucker - Heard It In a Love Song (thanks Boss for the reminder to add some Tucker to my day!)

I'm kinda in a quiet mode today I guess. Was listening to the Cars last night. LOL

Oh I had totally forgotten about "Ventura Highway" must add it.

Add a little REM for those quiet moods.

Love REM! Hey, do you remember The Band - "The Weight"? Cool old song.

Chip, you are the MAN! I thought "who the heck is that" so I looked 'em up. Ooooo! I love Wonderwall & Champagne Supernova. Older son covers a few of their songs, I just never knew who did them. Now added to the collection. You have to help the elders sometimes so you've done your good deed for the day. Thanks!
