Anybody know anything or a part of this club? I am an appointee for class of 2026 and was looking through the club directory and saw this and I’m really intrigued. What kind of things do you do during meetings? Do you get extra time in the field? Do you do any over night FTX’s during the academic year? Thanks!
 
Dear Heat Miser (and I still adore your name...do you wake up with 'Heat Miser' Hair?)--if you don't get your answers here, you will get the answer during Clubs Night after Beast. Hope someone chimes in...but that's not one that I know...
They have a FB page ( @IrregularWarfareClub ) ...and a page on the official WestPoint.edu site.
 
The FB page has all sorts of pictures of them doing hooah things & having classroom lectures. Definitely check it out.
 
My DS is in this club as well. He too loves it. They had an "ambush day" this past Sunday. And several other simulations. Work with Green Berets.
 
remember you cannot join the U.S. Army Special Forces after graduation (unlike USNA grads for SEAL). you'll to wait till you're a captain and did 82nd or 75th.

75th as in the Ranger regiment? You can’t try out to be a Ranger, Special Forces officer, Psyops, or Civil Affairs officer until you are a 1st Lt. promotable or Cpt. And you don’t specifically have to be an officer in the 82nd. But yes, point still stands. You must wait unlike USNA and USAFA grads who can be a part of special forces right after graduating.
