Is a waiver still possible?

DD received a letter from USMMA stating that she was medically DQ'd. Her issue was surgery for bilateral compartment syndrome in her legs 3 years ago. She has completely healed and has been a starting Varsity Field Hockey player for the past two years, this year being chosen Defensive MVP. Is a waiver still possible for MMA, and if so how do we go about initiating that process?
 
I hope I'm remembering the process properly..my son did his applications 99% independently and I was basically mailbox stalker delivering the letters as they came in. ;)

My son is at USAFA so i don't know if USMMA is different, but he got DQ letters from WP, USAFA, and USNA. He also got a letter, I think from DoDMerb asking him to submit more information regarding his condition. He submitted additional paperwork to DoDMERB.

USMA then sent another letter confirming the DQ but USNA and USAFA granted him waivers.

For him, the took that first DQ letter as a positive sign....it meant the waiver process could begin.

Also, FYI, from our experience, ROTC and SA waivers aren't processed the same so if she gets a DQ to a service academy, she may still be able to get one and go ROTC.
