Is Chemical engineering not an option for AFROTC

Well this really puts a kink in the plans. My daughter applied to the engineering schools of her desired universities and now we find out that chemical engineering is not a technical major - who knew? The scholarship is for a technical major, but chemistry is in the arts and sciences or natural sciences college. We will have to see if she can switch over to another college once she gets accepted or maybe we should contact the admission office and let them know what our predicament is.
 
Remove the scholarship for a second, the question is what will she do in the AF? Back it out from there and than determine the major.

Most engineering colleges will accept her downgrading ChemE to Chem.

Have you talked to the dets of he school choices? Maybe they can assist you re:negotiating this path.
 
She is in the process of talking to the detachments. I think she is happy with the chemistry option though and doesn't seem to think it will be too hard switching from the college of engineering to arts and sciences or natural sciences.
