Hello All,

My DD was examined by DODMERB at least two months back but no result has been updated yet on the USMA portal. And my DD tried to reach out to the local officer/DODMERB couple of times and she always gets the response that the website is down due to some technical issue. I doubt that this imp site can be down for so long. Any help is appreciated

Thanks.

It’s a hurry up and wait situation. Your DD’s record can be reviewed and evaluated by Admissions independent of DoDMERB results. DoDMERB processes can go well into the spring, if necessary. USMA won’t start offering appointments in large numbers until all applications and nom slates are in, and appointments will be offered into the spring and sometimes into the window right before induction.

I have no doubt all concerned are working hard behind the scenes to execute the mission as well as get the website up and running. Plenty of manual processing, I am sure, just like the pre-web days when candidates submitted their paper packages in the fall and heard nothing until a Big Fat Envelope or Thin White Envelope arrived in the spring, with no updates or status available in between.

The candidate-facing portals are a convenience for applicants. The results may already be in Admissions CRM system and visible to them, but outward portal hasn’t been updated.

When these kinds of things happen, candidates focus on what they can control, PT to bleed off stress, tend alternate plans, enjoy friends and family.

Hang in there.

Thank you MJ.

DoDMERB has been down for about two months now. DoDMERB began to “hand process” a few weeks ago but have quite the backlog. Before DoDMERB went down it would normally take 3-4 weeks for a Qualified decision if there were no medical areas requiring additional information It could take longer. If it has been two months since DODMETS marked your case “ closed” and sent everything back to DoDMERB I would call the academy RC (regional commander) in admissions and make inquiry as to the status.

Likely old news, but here's the statement from DODMERB: "While the DoDMERB website is down and communication via the website is not possible, DoDMERB is working through the backlog of exams and Remedial and Additional Medical Information (AMI) as quickly as possible. If you have questions regarding a status, please email our helpdesk: dha.ncr.dod-merb.mbx.helpdesk@health.mil Include the applicant's full name and last 4 of their SSN. For applicants who are qualified, notifications are being sent to the Academies/ROTC Units on a bi-weekly basis. We appreciate how frustrating this outage is to everyone. Thank you for your patience and understanding."

My son just got DQ'd by DODmerb yesterday so no news is better than bad news

Hopefully the SA will request a Waiver.
It’s not over yet.

If you don't mind me asking, how did he find out? Email? show up in his portal? We are also waiting, though we know he will get a DQ, and are hoping for a waiver.

Though the DODMerb website is down, the staff seem to be working hard to get results out to the SAs. DD got an email today from DODMerb that they are sending the results out to the SAs.
