Is DODMERB just slow?

This is what the dodmerb.tricare.osd.mil site says when I log in:

Agency: US Army ROTC Sub Agency:
Current Medical Status ( as of 3/21/2007): Medical waiver granted

R263.00 - Please obtain a REPEAT urinalysis, without microscopy
D241.30 - Asthma/reactive airway disease/exercise induced bronchospasm after age 13
D259.50 - Waiver Approved - AROTC

1) I've been granted a waiver, that's there...
2) I did that urinalysis already, and never recieved word to do it again. Is it just there because they listed all my remedials I had to do?

This leads me to my real question:

When I log into my CADCOM account, it tells me that I am still pending medical qualification from DODMERB. Any ideas?

CAnderson197,

It looks like the reviewer failed to clear the repeat urine off your file, but has addded the waiver granted code to your file, so your status is waiver granted. I would contact CADCOM and let them know that you are currently waiver granted. Its possible that CADCOM hasn't updated thier information for a while (which is possible). If thats the case then just be patient, if thats not the case CADCOM can contact DoDMERB to get it cleared up.

I emailed CADCOM, if they don't respond by tommorow evening, I will call CADCOM on Mon, as I'm assuming they're closed on Saturdays.

DODMERB would have contacted me if my protein levels and such were wrong with my urinalysis wouldn't they? This is getting me worried.

If there was a problem with the urine, a new disqualification would have been added to your file. I wouldn't be concerned at this point in time. Wait to see what Cadet Command has to say first. Most likely everything is good!

Is hypertension a DQ?

It all depends on what the blood pressure is, or if medication is taken to control the hypertension. If a medication is taken, then it is a disqualification, and it is very difficult to get a waiver.

If its just a mild increase in blood pressure, and on the physical exam the blood pressure is over 140/90 (if either the systolic or diastolic is over those numbers) then a 3 day blood pressure test is requested. The applicant would have their blood pressure done twice a day for 3 consecutive days, and if the average of those 6 tests is over 140/90 then it would be a disqualification.

My remedial letter said to take it once a day, so I had an RN do it for 3 consecutive days and my average ended up being 138/64 so everything is all go right?

Found out the reason I had to take this test is because my reviewer the first time noted it on DODMERB's computers but did not put it in my file. Once, I was disqualified, they didnt think it was a big deal, but now that I'm not I have to do this. I also have to do that repeat urinalysis again, because it was not processed before i was disqualified, so they "threw" it away.

Agency: US Army ROTC Sub Agency:
Current Medical Status ( as of 4/24/2007): Remedial Status/Post Waiver Review

R259.00 - Waiver approved for ASTHMA/REACTIVE AIRWAY DISEASE, complete outstanding remedials
R263.00 - Please obtain a REPEAT urinalysis, without microscopy
D241.30 - Asthma/reactive airway disease/exercise induced bronchospasm after age 13

What does that mean?

That means that your waiver for asthma was granted for AROTC, but you have to complete the additional remedial before DoDMERB will add the waiver granted code to your file.

I've sent you a PM as well.

Going to take the UA tommorow, it says to avoid strenuous activity 72 hours before the test, so I haven't lifted/worked out since tuesday of last week, and all ive been drinking is mainly water. However, I had to work tonight (I work at a restaurant [Pizza Hut]...That's not going to mess me up is it?

similar situation

my dodmerb status also says my medical waiver has been approved. I also received news of my scholarship offer back in october and i am into the school that i selected. Does cadet command look at the entire package and then send out the actual scholarship? I just dont know what to wait for, if anything.
Thanks
