Is it possible for two people from the same high school in the same grade to attend?

Both a friend of mine and myself would like to go to the Air force Academy. We are both in the same grade though. Is it possible with the nominations?

Sure it is, you just both have to do the applications separately. It may be a bit tougher to get 2 names on the nominations list, but it is just the same as anyone else applying.

Good Luck

Yes, one of you could go Sen, and one could go Cong, you both could ea go from ea Sen, you both could go Pres.(if eligible) One could win the nom, and the other comes out of the pool.

As you can see there are multiple variations. Look at Fencer, both her sons are there...oh did I forget to say they are twins! I think one yr, there were on this site and CC several sets of twins at each SA

One of our ALO's had his oldest son go to USAFA.

Then a couple of years later his TRIPLETS all applied: two went to USAFA, one went to USMA.

ALL from the same school.

If you are nominated and are the person the academy wants...

were they the ones that made AF Times a yr or two ago?

Yes, no problem to have more than one from one high school class. Our son and another girl in his class are both in BCT right now for the AFA Class of 2013. Another from his class got Naval Academy and another got Coast Guard Academy.

I don't know the last name, but they were minorities.

Nope, not them. Well...now wait a minute...yeah, they would probably be classified as minority members.

Could be them.

There were a couple kids from our congressional district who were from the same high school who went to USMA three years ago, so it is possible. My two were the first set from our district who were twins, though I think there are six sets of twins in 2012 - two sets on the fencing team!

hehe, the other set are chem majors now! They came to the dark side. One of them was my humanities partner too. Small world, no?!

I just had three kids all from my school enter west point this year. Most definitly possible.

Bentonville High School had (5) Appointments

There are five Basic Cadets from Bentonville, AR going through BCT this summer. All graduated from Bentonville High School in May 2009.

Hornet: looks like one twin will join those other two as chem majors. Other twin has always wanted Physics; still set on it.

That will make 4 fencers in the chem major! One is in my class. Talk about representing lol.

The Fencing Team has the best grades/highest GPA of any DIV I sport at AFA (or so I'm told.).

One twin is trying to talk the other into following you Darth Vader types into the mysteries of the chemical world (Me: MS Chemistry, 1981, before the atom was discovered). I don't think it will fly.

LMAO. That made my day. Though, I will likely not be involved with chemistry very much in my grad degree or future career. Though, having the background will keep me from falling into the academic black holes of many politicians that don't understand science.

There were 4 appointments to USAFA from East High in Wichita this year.
However one took an appointment to USNA instead.

Pretty amazing class.

Two appts from Randall High School in Amarillo, TX plus one to the prep school and one (my son) to USNA!
