Is it this quiet for everybody?

Still waiting for first Sermester MMA Grades for second application. Shipped off at MMA on TS/kENNEDY for southern seas yesterday. If you think it was hard denied the first time with a Nomination, good grades and decent SAT's try it the second time around with another Nomination better SAt'S and sibling waiting to bust him last year as a detailer during Plebe Summer. Good luck to all and try and try again. You never know. It could happen. He want's his commission and MMA is his next choice for Ensign.

What is wrong with the tried and true classic way, egg, milk, and a sprinkle of cinnamon.

These doldrums are made for working to resolve any outstanding issues, such as DQs, etc, and to update your file. If you have a medical issue and have not already been in contact with Larry Mullen at DODMERB, you need to make that contact immediately. Depending upon where you are and what is happening in your area vis-a-vis MOC slates, etc, you may have a week or so before things start dropping off the walls. Take maximum advantage of this time. Best wishes to all the candidates.

Feeling the same

The same thing is going on with our DS. Everything was just going great. All kinds of offers, great things, and we were all so pumped up. Then the big DQ blew us away. It was the hardest thing we have had to tell DS in years. Then watching the let down....was awful. But with DQ everything has stopped, no f/o on weekend visit, etc. It is like hitting the brick wall. Then heard no waiver at this time from USNA. So frustrating. But, we are working with Mr. Mullen and trying to get some things straightened out. The silence and lack of activity is very hard. We just have to wait and see. DS is looking at all backup plans closely, in preparation. It is really a tough time for those who are waiting.

What can I say, God is good!

Talking about big slow down last night, DS's feelings, etc. and today DS goes to the mailbox and another big scholarship offer arrived to one of the back up plan universities. The timing was amazing, got the process going again, and lifted everyone's spirits. It looked like a fancy diploma, so it had us all feeling better.

That is my wish for each of you that may be a little tired of how slow it is right now.....I hope you get something in the mail that is wonderful!
