I applied to West Point and was offered an appointment, but did not apply to the Naval Academy. Now I’m having second thoughts. Is it too late to apply now?

Technically speaking, no. The deadline (correct me if I am wrong) is December 31st, and that's the deadline to complete all materials. It's possible I guess, but could you actually get the materials in? I really cant say.

Do you have a nomination?

Does your school have to send info? Teacher recommendations? Is the school even open?

So I actually finished everything but did not submit it because I didn’t know if the Naval Academy was a good fit for me. But the more I look into it, the more I like it. I have three nominations for USAFA and one for USMA, and was offered appointment to USMA. Maybe I can compete for the Vice Presidential nomination, but I believe that is extremely competitive. What do you all think?
Also, if my representative already announced nominations, but have many more slots left for USNA (there are not many applicants where I live) can they possibly give it to someone after the announcement?

Let me be blunt. Make them tell you no. Know what service you are committing to. See yourself as an officer doing that job.
Where do you fit?

I am curious as to how someone who has never been in the military, has never attended a SA, knows after no real time experience , that one SA is better for them than another SA. Even after being accepted to one.

The jobs after graduation are similar, the classes are not all that much different , you are serving the same country, the service commitment is the same.

The uniform? The weather? A real desire for sea duty? A real desire to never have sea duty? I have never understood this.

If you already have everything prepped and ready to go for USNA, and you are interested in attending, why in the world would you not hit that submit button? It sounds like you've started on the portal, so you know the application deadline. If you need a nom, apply/ask for one. It may be rare, but not unheard of, to switch a nom to a different SA. One way to never know if you could have gone to USNA is to never apply. Don't let that be you. There is still time - hit submit Viper!

Since you received three nominations to USAFA, shall we assume that you finished your application to USAFA as well?

Your USNA application will not matter at all without a nomination and you are correct that a VP nomination is a long shot. The other avenue is to get one of the three MOCs who gave you a nomination to USAFA to change it to USNA. Getting that done at this time of the year when none of them are probably working is another long shot, but you won't know unless you try.
