Hi all,

Today I received a conditional appointment to CGA. The letter said I need to get my medical exam done by April 15th, but I had never received the instructions saying how to schedule and exam and who the providers were, so now I'm scrambling to get this done. If I call DoDMERB tomorrow, is it likely I'll be able to schedule an exam before the 15th? Also, would there be any possibility of contacting CGA and extending the deadline so I can get this done without losing my conditional appointment?

Thanks so much for your help.

physical deadline

we were able to walk in and wait for the physical without an appointment but we had to schedule the eye exam. we were told to bring the eye exam results with us to the physical. it took us 2 weeks to get an appointment for the eye exam.

perhaps if you explain the deadline to the eye dr perhaps he/she will see you asap.

then hope you don't have a dq condition. that slows the process considerbly.

call cga and see what they say. i'm just telling you our experience.

the info was on the dodmerb portal as to where to go for the eye exam and physical.

physical and eye exam

Same thing happened to DS last year. He called and they tried to give him an appointment in a month. But we got back on the phone, explained the situation, said DS wanted to serve his country, and they fit him right in. He basically got both exams done within 48h. Be extremely polite, gracious, respectful, but dont give up (begging seems reasonable as well:smile:)
