Is my conditional appointment just an appointment?

Hey all - I had a question about what exactly my conditional appointment means. I received and accepted my appointment which was "conditional until we receive confirmation from the DoDMERB that you are medically qualified" back in January, and got medically cleared by DoDMERB about a week later (no need for a waiver). It shows up under the Scores and Medical Status tab in my portal that I am qualified. Since January, I have completed my appointee kit and received my Travel Order.

When I click on my decision letter, it still says the same thing in January, that my appointment is conditional until I am medically qualified. Given that I am medically qualified, should I expect some change in my portal that indicates that the conditional appointment is now a normal appointment? Or should I just assume that since my appointment was conditional off of DoDMERB and that I am now medically cleared, that I have a full appointment?

Thanks for any help, and I apologize if this is a silly question. Just trying to make sure.

Your portal will clearly say if it's a normal appointment. I would reach out to your regional commander about this for a better answer.

I’m in the same boat (conditional letter based on DoDMERB but now qualified) and I think it you’re fine, I’d email if you’d want but if medical was the only condition then it’s now a full appointment since the portal says you’re qualified.

Good to know it's not just me - I emailed Team Blue to make sure and will let you know what they say. I am assuming that the Travel Order being released indicates that we're good to go, given that it tells you to report at the Academy by a certain time.

You should see a big green box saying something like "Congratulations! You were admitted into the Class of 2027!"

I have not yet heard back from Team Blue. I have a green checkmark saying "Welcome to United States Air Force Academy" and "Offer Accepted" below that. When giving the link to the appointee kit, it also says "Congratulations on being appointed to the USAFA." Are one of these what you are referring to?

That's the same thing my portal is showing and I have a non-conditional appointment. I think you're in the clear.
