Is there a date where USNA gives decisions by?

Does anyone if there's some date where USNA will have changed "complete-pending review" to appointed or rejected? Is it possible my application could remain in this status after May 1st?

USNA, as stated on their website, will inform candidates by April 15th. Having been on this forum awhile and a BGO, USNA hits this almost every time. There could be a few one offs waiting on waivers or other unique things. Also, there will be a 100 or so on the waitlist who will be waiting still behind that date. USNA advises waitlist candidates to pursue plan Bs.

There was a delay in the c/o '25 cycle, and it was around the end of the month, but they did inform everyone (candidates) that it was going to be the case. This past cycle, they were spot on the middle of the month. If you go back to last years Appointment and Waiting and Speculating threads, you will see how active it was on the forum those days.

I'm still waiting to hear back. I've heard that they are behind schedule because of DODMERB being down for so long. I'm not sure how true this is, however I do find it likely.

If you read the Admissions website carefully, it says "most" , ie. "Most candidates will be notified of their final status by April 15."
Admissions is pretty good about hitting this date -- '25 was kind of an anomaly; literally the perfect storm of a new operating system which got launched late (and with a lot of hiccups) and remote working through COVID. However, there will be stragglers, in this case some will because of the DODMERB delay or Admission trying to determine "yield" (ie. how many accept their offer of appointment), but for the most part those that are out of the running will know by April 15. The remainder are still in the game until you hear otherwise.

And this is me 👏👏👏👏👏👏 to USNA Admissions for clawing their way through the months of DoDMERB website outage and delivering news of various flavors by 15 April, as we have just seen from the spurt of posts on waitlist and other decisions. That DoDMERB issue must have been so painful.
