Is there going to be a specific packing list for R-day? Or are we supposed to be packing based off of what we have now?

I don't know "what [you] have now." But the one provided in the portal is what stands--I presume you already have that.

Maybe I have a bad case of dummy brain, but I don't believe I've seen one in the portal. We only have one admissible (1st) packet.

We have nothing in the portal either - it is a little worrisome since we are in an area where we are still locked down to a big extent. Shipping has taken much longer than expected on just about everything. We have boots and low quarter shoes. That is all.

Is there a general list of things needed? Do they need more things after Beast?

Bedding? alarm clock? computer/printer? school supplies? civilian clothes? workout clothes? Feeling very out of control with no information here.

That's odd. We had all that information last year before May.

@tryingmybest No need for any of those things. All clothing will be provided though you'll have to bring socks and underwear.

I'd wait for them to send out the official list for this year.

There will be a packing list released, but honestly, if your kid has his boots, low quarters, and a toiletry kit, he’ll be fine.

For all the other things you mentioned, no, do not plan on him bringing them for Beast. He’ll be issued linens, his computer, and all the uniforms for every occasion he needs. He will not be wearing civilian clothes anytime soon. For school supplies, it’s best to wait for A-day and make a run when he has his academic schedule and can sort through what he was issued versus what he needs. It’ll just be a waste of space until then and uncomfortable to carry around on R-day.

Something I heard a while back-you could show up with nothing but the clothes on your back and be fine for R-Day. Though I would imagine boots and low quarters would be a necessity.

Even then, you’ll get an issued set if you don’t have them. Might not be the most comfortable but you’ll survive
