Is today the day AROTC scholarships are awarded?

No change to my DS status this morning. Still hoping to see something today. Would sure make the weekend less stressful.

At least we will all know SOMETHING by mid-week - Letter or No letter......
 
It looks like the results have been released since a new thread has lit up.
 
Status just changed.

Son received scholarship to Murray State. Excited for him but confused. When his older brother applied he was offered his only choice and another instate school. This time, this son was offered a school I was not aware he applied for.
This is a fine school but not the one he has been in contact with.
Anyone have any imput?
(But as the dad I'm happy he has been offered ONE !)
 
DD received offer this morning to LSU..... not her first choice but she is still very excited.......
 
DS was offered one this morning to Appalachian State University, not his first choice, but he is very excited and has already been accepted.

When you receive the letter it may list more schools to which he can accept a scholarship. Even if Murray State is the only school listed, you should accept the scholarship, which you will need to do in order to try to transfer it, if that is even possible when the time comes in April or May. In the meantime I would start finding out all there is to know about Murray State. If it is the only school listed in the letter, I would also submit an application as a backup plan in case you're not able to transfer. This assumes, of course, that Murray State is not totally unacceptable to your son.
