Item security at school

Any advice on keeping valuables secure while in school? I’d keep my laptop & phone on me most of the time so that’s not my concern. Thinking more of how to keep my PS4 safe because it’s in plain sight. Additionally any tips on where to keep a wallet in a dorm room?

Hoping theft is not an issue considering I’m in ROTC living.

Renters insurance. Keep your room door locked. Never leave military equipment in your car. Don't leave small high value items out in your room. If you are really concerned get a small safe - but attach it to something.

I bought my daughter a footlocker with a padlock. She kept all of her important papers in there and would put her laptop in if she went away for a weekend and didn’t take it. You can even get a cable to attach it to your bed frame. Theft in college dorms is mostly opportunity crime and not all roommates will be as diligent about locking doors. And - renters insurance - most universities require this if you are in a dorm.
