It's March 28, 2016 and still CPR...

one of the BGOs on the Facebook page said something very interesting over the weekend. Not word for word but here is the sentiment. Admissions identifies the definite YESs (those with LOA/BFE) and then eliminates the mathematical NOs (TWE) those that are left waiting are most likely only separated by a single point or two making the deliberations very difficult. Basically it comes down to what is best for the class at this point. I am glad they are being very deliberate in their decision making for those that are still "on the island." Best wishes to all of the marooned! May your ship come in soon!

thanks... staying positive...

^^^^^ exactly^^^^^^ and then there are the "inquiring minds" If he has to reapply I will not tell a sole!

Whether true or not (doesn't matter at this time), it confirmed my suspicions. I appreciate the tidbit along with other waiting parents.

If time is crawling while you are on CPR, here is a to do list to help keep you motivated and busy:
1) work out & run
2) keep working on Plan B to Z
3) apply for more tuition scholarships (for your plan B’s) and non-tuition scholarships for the SA’s.
4) only check your emails/ portals once – in the afternoon/evenings, when your family can be there when you get the great news!
5) study for your AP exams
6) keep working on your current school academics
7) be active in an extra-curricular activities
8) stop being a “screen-ager’ and go outside with some friends, have fun!
9) participate and enjoy your senior high school year, there’s lots to do.
10) clean your room – No, really, clean your room because you will be moving out soon.

CPR also means Can't Procrastinate Regularly. Keep on keeping on!

^^^^awesome^^^^^ Except I cleaned his room. DOH! I have never heard the term "screen-ager" - My new favorite word!!

Even as a father of a candidate, I should probably take Disco's advice. The wife would really appreciate the cleaning of my room. Some don't apply, but I could easily substitute others for those that don't apply. I have also used Row2020's sentiment a bunch lately. I do figure if he has stayed in the running this long, it is as close as it could possibly be. I tend to be a very positive thinker and that thought alone makes my head swell with pride for my boy. I think I can control my thoughts and my head, just not sure how the heart is going to fare over the next couple of weeks.

^^^^THIS^^^^ it has been an amazing ride. The growth/change has been exponential.

As he took off for crew practice today (40F and pouring) he turned around and knocked on the door to smile and wave goodbye. Just about killed me.

And your head should be swollen with pride! What a thoughtful, loving young man you have raised. Treasure him!
