It's the big day!

My DD and two four of her (eventual) best friends are in this shot. Take a lot of pics, because your swab is likely to bond hard with a lot of the folks they march with this afternoon.

I just noticed that several of these swabs already had colored wrist bands on by hour 6. I wonder what they were for?

This used to float around. No clue how old or accurate this was. I think they've since gotten away from wrist bands and do the yellow belt for everything. I couldn't imagine no lower body activities on the first day! lol. Who knows!

What company is this?

Class of 2025, swab summer hotel company. Several of them ended up in delta.

I've seen some yellow wristbands on swabs this week, plus that yellow cross-chest belt. I had a similar reaction: already?!

Especially grateful that my son spent last year at NAPS. The extra lap around the track prepared him well for the start of this next journey and introduced him to some amazing shipmates along the way. He’s ready!View attachment 19279
Same - at GMC. He was a self-prep but got to know all of the CGAS kids and now has several in his company. He seemed very relaxed and happy during our 15 minutes on R-day - unlike some who seemed very stressed and even in tears. We'll call them tears of happiness...

I have learned the meaning of the wristbands has changed from way back when. Yellow indicates they’re on a chit that will expire automatically. Red means they’ll need to see the clinic to be cleared. Silver means they have to be medically monitored for some condition. No matter which wrist band, they’ll get a yellow belt.
