Today is my last day at home. I wanted to thank everyone who has helped me on here to get to this point. The information I learned from SAF has helped me more than many of you can imagine.

I want to specifically thank Scoutpilot, Buff81, America's Finest, Mr. Mullen, and all of the cadets and parents on here who have helped me out. You all have been great to me and are a true asset to the forums.

To my fellow 2015 classmates, I am privileged to be a part of such an amazing group of people. We haven't even been to Beast yet and I've already made countless friends. I look forward to seeing a few of you at the SAF dinner; to the rest of you, see you Monday :shake:

This is Jake S signing off for a while. . . but I'll be back around to help out.

See you all on the other side

Well said. I would also like to thank those that assisted me in the process of getting to West Point. SAF proved an invaluable tool and source of USMA knowledge; without the forums, I would not know nearly as much as I do now. Thank you all for your committed efforts and advice. I will continue to post on these forums and help others when I can.

As Jake said, I look forward to seeing those who are attending the dinner on Sunday.

You guys pretty much nailed it all. This forum has been an awesome place to get information from people with all different backgrounds and perspectives. Thank you for your help, and hopefully we'll have some fun stories to tell when we get back

I'm leaving for USMA tomorrow, so this will be my last day for now. Thanks for all the help, tips, and advice I've gotten on these forums. This has been a terrific resource throughout the application & waiting process, and I look forward to being able to be a similar help to future candidates. Thanks again, and see you all after Beast!

I think the above posts pretty much detail what I would say! The forums have been an extremely useful tool for just about every step of the admissions process.

To my fellow cadet candidates of the USMA Class of 2015, good luck and see you on the other side! :thumb:

Agree with all that has been said. I am 100% confident that I would not be where I am right now without the advice and the knowledge I've gleamed from these forums. 2016 candidates, this is where the party's at. No doubt.

It has been a pleasure.
Saw some of the stats for 2015 and WOW - this a great class!
Will surely be thinking of you Monday and throughout the next 6 weeks.
When it gets tough, remember back through this past year and how badly you wanted this.
Be sure and sign back on when you can and tell us all your Beast experience!
Best wishes everyone!!!! :thumb::thumb:

I would also like to offer my gratitude for the help and wealth of information SAF has provided me.

Good Luck and God Bless!

Sorry to hijack your post, Jake, but I too would like to say thanks for all the help SAF has provided. I remember discovering it right before SLS last year and am so grateful for all the tips, advice, wisdom, and knowledge that's been shared over the past year.

See some of you on Sunday night and the rest on R Day!

Not sure if this is ok to say/do, but if any of you 2015-ers want to PM me your name and PO box, I'd love to write a letter to you during beast. I know mail was a highlight of my cadet's days during beast...everyone doesn't have a neurotic mother like mine had (who wrote every day). So, the offer is there if you are interested.

Good luck to all of you! A big adventure is about to start!

Last day at home here. Mom is an emotional wreck, Dad can't contain his excitement, sister is indifferent (she just wants my car). This forum has been invaluable throughout the past few years! Prospective candidates I know are asking if they can write me all their questions over the summer, but I just keep telling them about this website. This community has been the difference between me floundering and actually being one step ahead.

I'll see you all at the dinner!

Yep, everyone's already said it. This site has been SO helpful in every way throughout the admissions process. The insight from current and past cadets is invaluable and I'm not sure I would be about to head off to R-day without the help of this site.
I'll see all you '15ers on Monday!

Make sure your mom knows about the support that is out there for her on this site and others (on facebook there is West Point Parents and West Point Moms). WP moms is a closed group and she'll need to request joining. WP parents is open to all, and is a page, not a group.
