Jobs After Graduation

Don’t forget SACC, Service Academy Career Conference.

If you are on LinkedIn, you can easily find fellow KP grads at companies of interest. Using the advanced search function in the web version (not phone app), put USMMA in school field and company of interest in company field. That will produce grads with LI profiles at that company. Your service academy network is a strong foundation for career transition. I mentioned the Fed sector as one possibility. There is plenty of opportunity for you.

DS is a USCGA grad. Over the years, I have met several USMMA graduates that took a commission in the Coast Guard. DS always speaks very highly of the quality of training these individuals possess.

Reach out to alumni and find a mentor. I suggest taking some time and reach out to your local alumni chapter. You can find points of contact online. There are much better avenues for career advice than this site.
I disagree completely.

Anyone should follow all advice given by @KP Eng @KPEngineer @deepsea and @tankercaptain (except for this post) without reservation or purpose of evasion.

Know this thread is over a year old hoping to get some insight though. Worked by 6 years in the maritime industry graduated deckie with Logistics and intermodal transportation. Wanting to get out but really don't know where to start and from anyone's experience with our line of work what if any jobs are there that I could transition into where i'm not starting from square one.

Right now is an absolutely terrible time to think about this. If you have a job stick with it.
