Jobs after USAFA / USMA / USNA

If you are asking if there are certain military occupations that you are ineligible for after becoming an officer, then yes. As an ensign or 2LT, you are a midlevel officer and the military will tell you what assignment you will be sent to.

What "job" are you talking about that you are interested in?

Are there any jobs that you CAN NOT choose in service academies?

As AROTC-dad mentioned, you need to be a bit more specific, but yes, there are certain branches and jobs that you can't be assigned to right out of the Academy.

For instance, in the Army you can't branch to Special Forces, Civil Affairs and Psy-Ops straight out of the academy, there are other specific assignment as well that can't be assigned. I imagine there are the same restrictions for the other services as well.

Recommend you take a look at enlisted branches/MOS/designations/fields (Each service has its own terms) and then Officer ones. You will see the list is very different. For example in the USMC, there is 0302, infantry officer. There are many enlisted MOSs that would fall within infantry. There are plenty of MOSs that exist on the enlisted side that don’t on the Officer side in each service.

Right, USNA grads can go to SEAL after graduation without serving in the fleet....
