Whether airdales like to admit it or not, it's still a maritime service.

I'm extremely involved in the aviation club here and have been fortunate to meet many air station CO's and aviator admirals because of that. Everyone of them at some point mentioned to me that CG aviation is meant to support and supplement the cutter fleet. :thumb:

What are you looking at STN?

Underway's the only way... I'm trying to (If you'll excuse the pun) Break into the Ice Breaking fleet. I'm looking at Polar, Healy and Mackinaw as well as the Icebreaking tugs on our shopping list.

You quickly find out "underway's the only way" is generally rattled off by angry cuttermen.

I think 140's are the best kept secret in the fleet. I went TAD on Sturgeon Bay and I have to say, loved it. But, like most cutters, it's hit or miss. While Sbay had a happy crew, Pbay was the polar opposite.

Two thumbs up for 140's.

Surprisingly there are two ENS billets on 140s this year, Sturgeon Bay and Mobile Bay. Actually maybe 3 because I think Bristol Bay has one too.

Spoke to two ensigns on Big Mac and they LOVED the ship.
